High Behaviour Support

We work closely with NDIS participants, families, and support coordinators to deliver high behaviour support that is structured, consistent, and focused on real outcomes. Whether it’s understanding triggers, reducing behaviours of concern, or creating safer, more positive routines, everything we do is centred around building stability, confidence, and long-term progress.

We focus on delivering behaviour support that goes beyond theory. This isn’t just about having a plan on paper — it’s about implementing strategies in real-life environments, building trust, and creating meaningful change through consistent, hands-on support that actually works day to day.

At Heart-Led Support, we specialise in working with complex and high behaviours. Our team is trained to respond with calm, structure, and clarity — helping participants feel safe, understood, and supported while reducing behaviours over time.

You’re not just receiving support — you’re building a pathway toward greater independence, emotional regulation, and a more empowered way of living.

Positive Behaviour Support Plans

Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) provide a structured, evidence-based approach to understanding behaviours and creating strategies that lead to safer, more positive outcomes. These plans are designed to address the root causes of behaviours, not just manage the symptoms.

We support the implementation of PBSPs in real-world environments — ensuring strategies are applied consistently across home, community, and support settings. By working closely with participants, families, and support teams, we help bring each plan to life in a way that is practical, respectful, and aligned with individual goals.

Our focus is on creating sustainable change. Through consistent application, ongoing monitoring, and regular adjustments, PBSPs become a powerful tool for improving emotional regulation, reducing behaviours of concern, and increasing independence over time.

With the right plan and the right support, meaningful progress becomes achievable — not just in the short term, but for long-term quality of life.

Key Services

Our high behaviour support services are designed to create safer environments, reduce behaviours of concern, and build long-term positive outcomes. Every plan and strategy is personalised — ensuring it works in real life, not just on paper.

Our experiences are built around genuine interaction, shared activities, and progress that you can feel. Every session is an opportunity to step forward, try something new, and build momentum in your life.

Our Reviews

Hear What People Say About Our Support

"My brother has received support from Heart led for approximately 2 years. It has been a wonderful collaboration between my brother and his support workers at Heart led. They have made sure they understand his needs and then work out how to best support him. That hasn’t always been the case with other service providers and heart led has really turned his life around. The family are very confident that Greg’s needs are going to be met by heart led in a professional and client focused way."

Therese "Turned His Life Around"

"The way the HLS Team care for and support their community is something so special and I personally haven’t experienced before within the NDIS Community. To see real change being made, quality of participants lives improving, hearts healing, and voices being heard - this is one incredible company and it goes to show for itself the magnitude of what holistic care can do and how the HLS Team genuinely just want to help everyone they possibly can."

About High Behaviours Support

Common questions people ask about high behaviours and positive behaviour support plans at Heart-Led Support

Do I need a Positive Behaviour Support Plan (PBSP) to access support?

Not always—but if you or your loved one is experiencing ongoing high behaviours, a PBSP is often recommended under the NDIS to ensure supports are structured, safe, and effective. We can help guide you through whether a PBSP is needed and how to get started.

A qualified Behaviour Support Practitioner develops your PBSP, and it must align with NDIS guidelines and, in some cases, be reviewed by the NDIS Commission. Our team works alongside practitioners and support coordinators to ensure everything is compliant and implemented properly.

Every participant is different, but many begin to see improvements within weeks when strategies are applied consistently. The key is ongoing support, data tracking, and adapting the plan as behaviours improve or change.

Can PBSPs reduce the need for restrictive practices?

Yes—that’s one of the main goals. PBSPs are designed to reduce or eliminate restrictive practices by addressing the root causes of behaviours and replacing them with safer, positive strategies.

Absolutely. Supporting individuals with complex and high behaviours is one of our core strengths. We specialise in understanding triggers, de-escalation, and building long-term behavioural change through structured support.

We actively involve families, carers, and support coordinators to ensure consistency across all environments. When everyone understands the plan and applies it the same way, outcomes improve significantly.

Yes—this is the ultimate goal. By reducing high behaviours and building positive coping strategies, participants can gain more independence, improve relationships, and engage more confidently in daily life and community activities.
